For photographers

Send a whole shoot as a gallery, not a zip.

Photographers need a way to hand a finished shoot to a client without squeezing files through email or burying them in a cloud-drive folder. Nippy turns a folder of photos into an online gallery: drag the folder onto nippy.host, pick an address like shoots.nippy.site, and the gallery is live — a thumbnail grid with a full-screen lightbox, no album software, no code, and nothing for the client to install or sign up for.

Visitors open the link in any browser, flick through the photos, and can download single images or the whole set as a zip; downloads serve the original files, not re-compressed copies.

The gallery stays online until it is taken down — there is no expiry timer, so a wedding gallery from last year still works. A free account hosts one small gallery with 25 MB of space; paid plans add room for full shoots, password protection for client-only galleries, a custom domain such as photos.yourstudio.com, and cookie-free visitor stats that show when a client has been browsing. Updating is drag-and-drop too: drop in the retouched files and publish the changes in one click.

shoots.nippy.site

How it works

Three steps, no setup.

  1. 1

    Drop your shoot

Drag the folder of finished photos onto nippy.host — JPEGs straight from your editing tool, no resizing and no album software needed.

  2. 2

    Pick an address

Choose a free address like shoots.nippy.site, or connect your own domain on a paid plan with one CNAME record — HTTPS is set up for you.

  3. 3

    Send one link

The gallery is live: thumbnail grid, full-screen lightbox, original-quality downloads. Clients just click — no account, no app.

Why Nippy

What you get, out of the box.

A real gallery, not a folder

Photos get a clean thumbnail grid and a full-screen lightbox automatically — fast previews for browsing, originals for downloading.

Client-only galleries

On paid plans, put a password on a gallery so only the couple, the family, or the client can open it.

Know when they’ve looked

Cookie-free visitor stats on paid plans show views, visitors and countries — so you know the gallery landed without having to ask.

Your studio’s domain

Serve galleries from an address like photos.yourstudio.com: add one CNAME record and the HTTPS certificate is handled automatically.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can clients download the original files?

Yes. Single photos download at full resolution, and the whole gallery can be downloaded as one zip. Downloads serve exactly the files that were uploaded — Nippy never re-compresses them. If a gallery should be view-only, downloads can be switched off in the site’s settings.

Can I password-protect a client gallery?

Yes, on any paid plan. Visitors are asked for the password before a single photo is shown, and it can be changed or removed at any time from the site’s settings.

Will my photos be compressed?

No. Browsing uses optimized thumbnails so the grid loads fast on any connection, but the files themselves are stored and served exactly as uploaded — full resolution, original quality.

How much space do galleries get?

The free plan includes 25 MB — enough to try the workflow with a small, web-sized set. Paid plans add the space full shoots need. Every plan keeps photos at the quality they were uploaded.

Do galleries expire?

No. There is no expiry timer and no link that dies after a week — a gallery stays online until it is paused or deleted, so clients can come back to it months later.
