Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 June 2026
Nippy (also "nippy.host") is a service for publishing HTML sites, images, and files to the web, operated by Street Ventures Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16804955) with its registered office at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX ("Nippy", "we", "us"). These terms are a binding agreement between you and Street Ventures Limited. By creating an account or uploading content, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
Nippy hosts the files you upload and serves them at a nippy.site address (or a custom domain you connect). Features vary by plan — storage, live-site count, custom domains, analytics, password protection, and team seats are described on the pricing page.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country, to use Nippy. If you use a paid plan or accept these terms on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to do so, and "you" means that business.
Sign-in is by email link. You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure — anyone who controls your inbox can access your Nippy account, and you're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. Accounts are for humans; automated bulk account creation isn't allowed.
Your content
You keep all rights to what you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to do what's needed to operate the service: storing your files, copying and caching them, and serving them to visitors over our and our providers' infrastructure. This licence lasts as long as your content is on the service and for a short period afterwards while backups and caches clear. We don't claim ownership and we don't use your content for anything else. You confirm you have the rights to grant this licence for everything you upload.
You're responsible for what you publish. Don't upload content that:
- is illegal, or that you don't have the rights to distribute;
- contains malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive or harm visitors;
- is child sexual abuse material — this is reported to the authorities;
- infringes someone's copyright or trademark;
- abuses the platform technically (e.g. using it as a CDN for another service in breach of fair use, or attempting to disrupt our infrastructure).
We may remove or disable access to content, and suspend or close accounts, that we reasonably believe breach these rules — with notice where practical, and immediately where we judge it necessary to protect visitors, our infrastructure, or other users. We don't pre-screen content and aren't responsible for what users publish, but we reserve the right to act on it.
Rights holders can report infringing content to support@nippy.host with enough detail to identify the material and your rights in it. We remove content that is the subject of a valid complaint and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed by Stripe, monthly or annually, in advance. You can cancel any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew after that. When a paid plan lapses, limits return to the free tier — sites over the free limits may be taken offline, but your content isn't deleted just for downgrading.
Eligible new subscriptions may start with a free trial — currently 7 days. A payment method is required up front to begin the trial, but you aren't charged during it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged for the first period when the trial finishes; cancelling before then ends the trial with no charge, and removing your payment method during the trial cancels the subscription. The free trial is available once per account — it isn't offered again on a later re-subscription. The free plan, which never expires, is always available without a card.
Team plans are billed per seat with a plan minimum. Adding a member adds a seat to the current billing period, as shown before you send the invitation.
Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time, or features you didn't use. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing — but by starting to use a paid plan you ask us to begin providing it immediately and accept that this right ends once we have done so. Taxes are your responsibility where applicable.
We may change our prices. For existing paid subscriptions we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change takes effect; the new price applies from your next renewal, and if you don't accept it you can cancel before then.
Fair use and availability
Plan limits (storage, bandwidth, live sites) are enforced to keep the service fast and fair for everyone, and we may adjust them, or throttle or suspend usage, to protect the service. We aim for high availability but Nippy is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and without uptime guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Don't use Nippy as the only home of data you can't afford to lose — keep your own copies of your files. Nothing here excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
You can delete your sites or your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, are used unlawfully, or create risk for the service or other users. Where we terminate for breach, any prepaid fees for the remaining period are forfeited and not refundable. On termination your right to use the service ends and we may delete your content; sections that by their nature should survive (including content licence, liability, indemnity, and governing law) continue to apply. If we discontinue the service without cause, we'll give you reasonable notice to retrieve your content.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or £100 if you're on a free plan. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Your indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from content you publish, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms — to the extent they aren't caused by us. This doesn't apply where you're a consumer and the law doesn't allow it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll email account holders before the changes take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
General
These terms, together with the pricing page, are the entire agreement between us and replace any earlier understanding. We may transfer our rights and obligations under them, including to a buyer of the business; you may not transfer yours without our consent. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it, and no delay in acting counts as giving up a right. Except for you and us, no one else has rights to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. We're not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales.
