For teachers & students

Hand out notes and slides with one link.

Class materials scatter fast — slides in one email, the reading list in another, a worksheet on a USB stick. Nippy gathers them behind one link: drag a folder of files onto nippy.host — PDFs, slide decks, worksheets, even videos — pick an address like class-notes.nippy.site, and every student has the same tidy page.

Files appear as a clean, organised listing that opens in any browser on any device; nothing needs installing and no student ever creates an account. Adding the week’s new handout is drag-and-drop: drop it in, publish, and the link on the syllabus still works.

The page never expires, so revision notes shared in autumn are still there before summer exams. Visits set no cookies, so there is no consent banner for students to click through. The free plan hosts one class page with 25 MB of space; paid plans add room for bigger collections, plus a password so only the class can open the page. And when there are photos to share — a class trip, a school play — a folder of images becomes a browsable gallery at the same kind of link.

How it works

Three steps, no setup.

  1. 1

    Collect the materials

Slides, PDFs, worksheets, reading lists, videos — gather them in one folder, organised however the class thinks.

  2. 2

    Drop them on Nippy

Drag the folder onto nippy.host and pick an address like class-notes.nippy.site. The page lists every file tidily.

  3. 3

Share one link with the class

On the syllabus, the board, or the class email — the link stays the same all year while the materials grow.

Why Nippy

What you get, out of the box.

Add handouts weekly

Drop the new worksheet in and publish — the link students already have shows the updated list immediately.

No student accounts

Students just open a link — no sign-ups, no app, and no cookies, so there’s no consent banner either.

Class-only access

On paid plans, protect the page with a password so only your class can open the materials.

Photos become galleries

Class-trip or school-play photos? A folder of images turns into a browsable gallery with a full-screen viewer.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do students need an account or an app?

No. The page is a normal link that opens in any browser on any device — laptop, tablet or phone. Students never sign up for anything.

What file types can I share?

PDFs, slide decks, documents, images, videos, zips — almost anything. A short list of risky file types (like programs) is blocked for safety.

Can I keep the page private to my class?

Yes — on paid plans the page can be password-protected, so the materials are only shown after the class password is entered.

Does the link stop working at the end of term?

No. There is no expiry — the page stays online until it is paused or deleted, so autumn’s notes are still there for summer revision.

Is it OK for student privacy?

Visits to the page set no cookies, so students see no consent banner. The optional visitor stats are aggregate and cookie-free — there are no advertising trackers.
